FORT FRANCES — Provincial police arrested a 28-year-old over the weekend after being tipped off about a possible impaired driver.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Kings Highway at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a complaint and found the suspected vehicle.

Police said officers determined the driver was impaired by alcohol, and was arrested and taken to the detachment for further testing.

The accused is charged with two counts of impaired driving, as well as one count each of driving a vehicle with open liquor and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Fort Frances court next month.
