FORT FRANCES — One person faces multiple charges after police executed a search warrant Tuesday in Couchiching First Nation near Fort Frances.

Treaty Three Police Service officers seized a vehicle, cash, oxycodone and hydromorphone with an estimated value over $100,000.

Members of the OPP were also involved in the investigation.

A 46-year-old man is charged with possession of a controlled substance for trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime worth over $5,000, careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Treaty Three police said it encourages anyone with information related to drug activity in their community to contact them, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously.

The Treaty Three Police Service is a self-administered entity under the First Nations Policing Program in Canada, and is responsible for law enforcement in 23 First Nation communities.
