Police make drug arrest at a rural airport

DRYDEN — Multiple police agencies came together on a drug investigation that ended with a southern Ontario resident in handcuffs. 

Led by Red Lake OPP, with assistance from Dryden OPP and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, a 21-year-old Hamilton resident was arrested at the Sioux Lookout Airport. 

Just before 6 p.m. on Aug. 28, police located the suspect at the airport and arrested him. 

He was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. 

The accused has been held in custody until a later court date.
