Police have launched what is described as a comprehensive search for a 53-year-old man who was last seen earlier this week.
Treaty Three Police, in partnership with the OPP's emergency response team, is searching for Fred Copenace, a member of Big Grassy First Nation.
Police said Copenace was last seen on Monday in the area of Pork Point on Lake of the Woods.
He is described as standing six-foot-two in height, with a medium build and weighing about 225 pounds. He has short black hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts, or who may have noticed any activity in the area on Monday night to come forward.
Every piece of information, regardless of seeming significance, could prove crucial in locating Mr. Copenace and ensuring his safe return," police said in a statement.
"The Treaty Three Police Service extends its gratitude to the Big Grassy First Nation community for their cooperation and support during this challenging time."
