DRYDEN – A Dryden man is facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking after a warrant was executed earlier this week.
According to a release issued on Wednesday by Ontario Provincial Police, police raided a residence on St. Charles Street on Tuesday, Dec. 10, just after 9 a.m.
The investigation led to the seizure of suspected illicit drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone and oxycodone. There was also further evidence of drug trafficking.
A 31-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with a number of offences under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - oxycodone
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose - two counts
- Failure to comply with release order - two counts
The accused has been remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
