NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO -- Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for parts of the region.

The government weather agency says additional rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 millimetres are possible into Tuesday evening.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue Tuesday.

For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow, fast-moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle or a person away. Don't approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

  • Kenora - Grassy Narrows - Whitedog
