Rainy River District welcomes first member of Generation Beta

FORT FRANCES — The first baby of the new year in the Rainy River District has been born. 

Saylor-Lynn was born on Jan. 1, 2025 at 3:45 p.m. at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. 

Both baby girl and her mother, Hailey Copenace, of Fort Frances, are doing well. 

Riverside health Care, which operates the hospital, congratulates the family and welcomes Saylor-Lynn as the newest member of the community. 

The little one is the first member of Generation Beta to be born in the district. 

Generation Beta refers to individuals born between 2025 and 2039 and are expected to live well into the 22nd Century.
