SIOUX LOOKOUT – It’s been nearly two years since a large portion of the roof collapsed inside the Red Apple Store on Front Street, but officials say the store will finally open soon.
Red Apple Store officials closed the bargain shop while restoration of the building was completed.
The Red Apple Store has announced that a grand reopening will be this spring.
The vice-president of store operations, Dave Johnson, said they intend to have the newly-renovated store open before Easter.
When asked what the challenge was to get the store reopened sooner, Johnson said “restoring the building has taken some time due to various insurance processes.”
However, according to Johnson, the hiccups in the restoration process have allowed them time to revamp the layout of the shop.
“Red Apple will reopen to serve the residents of Sioux Lookout in a completely refreshed store featuring our most up-to-date layout, a fantastic Candyworks candy shop, a wide selection of food, name-brand fashion, home products, and much more.
"We can’t wait to open our doors again,” Johnson said.
