EAR FALLS – According to the OPP, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in Perrault Falls near Highway 105 on Jan. 2 where a driver was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

OPP stated their investigation led them to believe the 50-year-old from Vermilion Bay was impaired by alcohol.

Upon being placed under arrest, the individual “refused to provide subsequent samples,” said the OPP in a release.

As a result, the accused received a charge of failure or refusal to comply with a demand from a police officer.

The accused had their driver's licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The individual has been released to appear before the court on Feb. 15.
