Repeat offender nabbed by OPP

Officers recognized the prohibited driver.

FORT FRANCES — Police in Fort Frances have arrested a repeat offender behind the wheel. 

During a traffic stop near 6th St. E. on Nov. 29, OPP pulled over a driver they recognized as being prohibited from driving. 

During their investigation, officers tested the suspected drunk driver, who was then arrested at the scene. 

The 41-year-old Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation resident is facing several charges. 

The accused's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
