KENORA – Two people from Alberta and one Kenora resident face drug and other charges following a RIDE check in Kenora last week.
While conducting a RIDE check, Kenora OPP pulled over a known suspended driver on Dec. 14.
Upon investigation, officers found the driver had cannabis readily available which prompted a search of the vehicle.
Officers found several illicit substances suspected to be cocaine, fentanyl and oxycodone and items associated with drug trafficking.
As a result, a 26-year-old and 46-year-old from Alberta were charged with drug trafficking and property obtained by crime over $5,000.
A 32-year-old from Kenora was charged with drug trafficking, property obtained by crime over $5,000, failure to comply with probation, and driving while suspended.
The accused parties were held in custody until their court appearance last week.
