Sawed off guns and vehicles recovered by T3PS

Police recovered multiple items during the extensive investigation.

KENORA — A stolen vehicle and weapons were recovered by Treat Three Police Service (T3PS) in a recent investigation. 

Officers with T3PS were called to the Obashkaandagaang First Nation (Washagamis Bay) area on Nov. 10 regarding a stolen vehicle. 

During the investigation, police located the missing vehicle and two sawed-off shotguns. The vehicle was located in Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation.

In a release from OPP, a double-wide snow machine trailer with no license plates was also recovered in the community.

T3PS is seeking assistance in identifying the owner of the trailer. If anyone is missing a trailer or has information about its ownership, please contact T3PS.

Staff Sergeant Joe Gervais emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring community safety, "The recovery of the stolen vehicle and the seizure of these dangerous weapons highlight the dedication of our officers and the value of strong community partnerships.

"We will continue working diligently to hold those responsible accountable and keep our communities safe."
