MINAKI – OPP Northwest Region is advising the public of a serious motor vehicle collision which claimed two lives at the scene.
In the late afternoon on April 13, Kenora OPP and Kenora Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 525.
Two individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene while three other occupants were transported to the hospital by EMS to be treated for their injuries.
Highway 525 has been reopened in both directions near Minaki junction.
The OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and OPP collision re-constructionists assisted in the investigation, which remains ongoing.
