SIOUX LOOKOUT – On Feb. 7, officers with the Sioux Lookout OPP conducted a routine traffic stop on a passenger vehicle that was believed to be speeding.
According to OPP Northwest Region’s Facebook page, one of the passengers, who was known to police, had a warrant out for their arrest.
Upon further investigation by the on-duty officers, it was revealed the three occupants of the vehicle were transporting a large amount of suspected illicit substances including cocaine and methamphetamines.
Canadian currency was also found, as well as multiple cell phones.
All three individuals, who are from Sioux Lookout, were taken into custody and were charged.
