IGNACE — One person faces multiple charges after a vehicle was stolen from out front of a local motel.
Provincial police in Ignace responded to a vehicle theft at about 2:45 a.m. on Sept. 8.
Police said the vehicle was later found abandoned and officers were able to find the keys, leading to the owner being happy to have the vehicle returned.
The investigation led to a 38-year-old from Ignace being charged with motor vehicle theft, driving while under suspension, and failure to comply with a release order.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in bail court on Friday.
