ATIKOKAN — A complaint from a member of the public sent OPP to a reported vehicle in a ditch.
Around 5 p.m. on July 19, police attended the scene along Mathieu Road east of Atikokan and investigated.
Police determined that a 49-year-old Winnipeg resident was intoxicated, and that individual was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, the suspect's license was suspended for 90 days, and the work truck was impounded for seven days, along with two impaired driving charges.
The accused was released by police and is scheduled to appear in the Atikokan Ontario Court of Justice in August to answer to the charges.
