The City of Kenora is looking for an Indigenous Relations Specialist

The City of Kenora is looking to add an Indigenous Relations Specialist to their municipal team.

KENORA – In an effort to better serve the Indigenous community in Kenora and build a deeper relationship with Indigenous partners, the City of Kenora has created a new position within their government.

According to Kyle Attanasio, Chief Administrative Officer, the Indigenous Relations Specialist’s role will work in with Indigenous organizations and First Nations Communities, as well as, with various city departments, boards, and committees.

“The Indigenous Relations Specialist is essential to advancing cultural awareness within the organization to strengthen the City’s capacity to work more effectively with Indigenous organizations, business, and community. Council and Administration are eager to begin recruitment for this critical role,” stated Kyle Attanasio, Chief Administrative Officer in a release.

Attanasio also states that the role will be focused through a cultural lens that will be used to inform and develop municipal services, projects, and programs.
