WABIGOON – Two southern Ontario men and a Wabigoon resident have been arrested and face drug trafficking charges as a result of a police investigation.
Ontario Provincial Police, in a release issued on Tuesday, said a warrant was executed at a Wellington Street address in Wabigoon on Dec. 15, just after 11:30 p.m.
During the search police seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, hydromorphone and oxycodone, as well as evidence of drug trafficking.
A 27-year-old from Ottawa and a 24-year-old from Ottawa face charges of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (other drugs).
A 56-year-old from Wabigoon faces the same two drug charges as well as a charge of failure to comply with a release order.
The accused have been remanded into custody and are expected to be in court on Tuesday.
