KENORA – A head-on collision on Highway 17 sent three people to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash, which took place just before midnight on Monday near Whitehead Road, resulted in a 61-year-old Kenora man being charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and a three-day suspension of his driver’s license after police say he blew a breathalyzer alert.

The highway was briefly closed, but reopened once the vehicles and debris were removed.
