According to OPP, they came upon a truck on Highway 17 in Dewan Township with a "fastener failure" on one of its trailer wheels.
A police photo posted on Saturday shows a wheel with only four of 10 lug nuts still in place.
The driver was charged with:

- Drive commercial motor vehicle - part detached contrary to Section 84.2(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

The company was also charged with:
- Permit operation of unsafe vehicle - commercial motor vehicle contrary to Section 84(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
- Fail to ensure performance standards are met contrary to Section 107(3) of the Highway Traffic Act
"When fastener failure occurs, wheels can become detached from the vehicle and are severe hazards to other motorists. Luckily this wheel did not become fully detached," OPP said in a social media post.
