SIOUX NARROWS – NESTOR FALL – Now that the water is receding around Sioux Narrow – Nestor Fall, the township can do much-needed clean-up and repairs around most impacted areas.
In a Facebook message, the Township of Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls is advising local residents that the Turtle Portage Marine Railway retrofit will begin on Sept. 19, and will continue until spring of 2023.
Improvements to the marine railway include the rails, boat cart, mechanical system, concrete, and walkways.
In the meantime, this area will be close to the public.
The Township is advising that Boaters wishing to access the waters of Whitefish and Sabaskong Bay are advised to utilize local boat launches.
