DRYDEN — Two people face multiple charges after a drug trafficking investigation in Dryden.
Provincial police said a search warrant was executed at a city residence on Sunday, leading to the seizure of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and psilocybin, along with cash and a taser.
A 40-year-old from Thunder Bay, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, another count of drug possession, unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, failure to comply with a release order and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
A 30-year-old from Dryden faces two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, another count of drug possession, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both appeared in bail court on Monday. The accused from Thunder Bay remains in custody, while the accused from Dryden has been released and is scheduled to appear in a Dryden court next month.
