DRYDEN -- An early morning collision on Highway 17 sent two people to hospital.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, officers along with Machin First Response and Northwest EMS responded to a report on Tuesday around 1:36 a.m. of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Mutrie Township west of Dryden.
Police say an eastbound commercial motor vehicle swerved to avoid wildlife, lost control and slid into an eastbound ditch.
Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The highway is currently open for travel in both directions.
