Two residents charged with trafficking

Dryden OPP has arrested and charged two individuals with drug trafficking.

DRYDEN – According to the Dryden OPP, in the evening of Feb. 20 a search warrant was executed at a residence on Government Street in Dryden, where police found a quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone pills, Canadian currency, a prohibited weapon, and evidence of drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old and a 33-year-old have been arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking.

The 35-year-old was also charged with possession of a prohibited device and possession of a prohibited device contrary to a prohibition order.

Both accused individuals have been remanded into custody at the Kenora district jail.

The 33-year-old is scheduled to appear before the court on Feb. 22, while the 35-year-old is scheduled to appear before the court on Feb. 23.
