The township put out a notice indicating that, “On Highway 17 in the Dingwall Ford/Days Inn area of the City, the water is encroaching onto the main roadway from both sides. The City’s goal is to keep the roadway open as long as possible, however, motorists respecting the impact to the surrounding business is a significant factor.”

The township further stated that Highway 17 between Dingwell Ford and Days Inn has become an area of great concern, as the levels of the lake has now filled the storm sewers trapping the water in roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
