Weapons charge laid after Kenora assault

Incident took place on Dec. 12 at about 1 p.m. on Water Street.

KENORA – A Kenora man is facing weapons charges after an alleged assault.

OPP in Kenora said they responded on Dec. 12, at about 1 p.m., to an incident on Water Street, where the accused was located and arrested.

It was learned that the individual had assaulted several people on the property.

A 30-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon, assault and failure to comply with a release order.

The accused remains in custody pending a future court appearance.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people accused of a crime if it is unlikely we will follow the case through its conclusion in court.
