Woman arrested in Kenora, charged with drug offences

Accused was allegedly found in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

KENORA – A 44-year-old woman has been arrested in Kenora and charged with multiple weapons and drug offences.

Ontario Provincial Police said officers were on a general patrol in the downtown core of the city when they spotted the accused, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Police arrested the woman and allegedly located a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Canadian currency, pepper spray and other items associated with drug trafficking.

The accused has been charged with possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a release order.

She was held in custody ahead of a court appearance.
