Woman charged in assault case

One person received minor injuries during an alleged assault.

WABASEEMOONG — A woman has been charged in an assault case north of Kenora. 

OPP responded to an incident on March 8 around 9:30 a.m. along Main Road of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations. 

Through the investigation, police said it was determined that the female had assaulted an individual at the residence with a weapon, resulting in minor injuries.

A 38-year-old Wabaseemoong woman now faces a pair of assault charges.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to be in court on March 14.
