Diane Lahti passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born on March 23, 1962, Diane lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an enduring love for her community and those around her.

Diane had a passion for sports and was actively involved in baseball and broomball throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with friends playing disking at the Moose Lodge, and she gave selflessly of her time as a volunteer at the thunder bay hospital. Known for her warm heart and willingness to help anyone in need, Diane’s presence brought joy to those fortunate enough to know her.

She had a deep love for animals, finding comfort and companionship in their company, particularly her cherished grand-dog, Tucker. Diane’s legacy of care and compassion will live on in the many lives she touched.

She is lovingly remembered by her partner, Al Timko; her children, Michelle and Ken (Megan) Lessy; her grandchildren, Connor and Keira; and her beloved grand-dog, Tucker. Diane is also survived by her siblings, Donald (Nancy) Lahti, Linda Brink, and Donna (Tony) Dibiagio, along with extended family and dear friends.

Diane’s vibrant spirit, unwavering kindness, and dedication to others will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at the Unifor building on Gore St on Saturday January 25th between 12pm and 4pm, where friends and family can come together to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Diane. You will be forever loved and remembered.
