Diane Arline Paziuk passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 6, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born July 19, 1937 in Port Arthur to Mary and Henrik Bay. Diane grew up in Current River and retained many fond memories of the neighbourhood.

In the mid 50’s, Diane left Thunder Bay briefly to attend beauty school for hair dressing in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Upon her return she met and married Mike and they went on to have two daughters, Donna and Michelle.

She was later employed by NuFashion Beauty Salon where she retained many regular clients.

She enjoyed many years of camping and fishing in the early years and later, cherishing their waterfront camp at Stewart Lake where she tended to her gardens and kept the hummingbird feeders full. An accomplished knitter, she went on to create many sweaters for the grandchildren.

She also had a great passion for the Toronto Blue Jays remaining a loyal fan following them through all their ups and downs.

Survived by daughter Michelle (Clayton), granddaughter Shannon Hagarty, great-grandchildren Taya, Brin and Seamus Hagarty. Predeceased by parents Mary and Henrik Bay, husband Mike, daughter Donna (Hagarty), brother David, grandson Shae Hagarty.

A special thank you to all the wonderful nurses at Paramed (Julia, Dayna, Maddie and others) as well as the staff of Home and Community Care for keeping her comfortable in the final weeks.
