It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Graham James Coe, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who left us peacefully on January 20th, 2025. Born in Terrace Bay on July 8, 1951, Graham's life was a testament to his enduring love for his family and his community.
Graham was a man whose love for life was only surpassed by his devotion to his wife, Marcie. Together, they built a partnership that was rooted in unwavering love, mutual respect, and shared joy. Their strong bond of companionship allowed them to navigate life’s ups and downs hand in hand. Graham often spoke of the happiness he found in her presence, and how she was not just his partner, but his best friend. Their love story was one of laughter, support, and a deep connection that enriched the lives of all who knew them. Graham’s legacy is not only one of kindness, but of a love that will continue to shine in the heart of his beloved wife.
Graham is survived by his loving wife Marcie. Together, they raised two sons, Steven (Michelle Mauro) and Andrew (Chantel), who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, integrity, and passion for life. He was a proud grandfather to Winnie and Levi, whose presence brought him immense joy and pride. Graham was a beloved brother to Janice Parks (Donald) and Ralph (Frannie). Graham loved and was loved by his many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Norine Coe, his sister Meredith and brother-in-law Fred Rennette, all of whom he held dear to his heart.
For 24 years, Graham dedicated his working life to the Ministry of Natural Resources, a role that allowed him to connect his love for nature with his work. Following his time at the MNR, he joined the Kimberly Clark team for 20 years. His colleagues knew him as a reliable, hardworking, and friendly man, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.
Graham's passions extended far beyond his work life. He and Marcie were often seen riding their Honda Goldwing, an activity that embodied their shared love for the open road and the freedom it represented. Graham's heart was forever at the helm, guiding them on countless adventures across the Northshore and beyond.
His fascination with the world around him was evident in the way he cherished the simple things - the rustling leaves, the mighty waves of Lake Superior, and the hunt for beach glass along its shores. Graham's perspective on life was one of an appreciation for the beauty in everyday life.
An avid biker, Graham's recounting of their motorcycle journey along the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee never failed to light up his eyes. The twists and turns of life mirrored those steep curves and winding roads, and he navigated both with the same enthusiasm and grace.
Family was the cornerstone of Graham's life. He instilled in his sons the importance of putting family first, a value they embraced wholeheartedly. The Coe household was a place of love, learning, and laughter, with Graham as a quiet guiding force, leading by example with his compassionate soul and zest for life.
As we bid farewell to Graham, we reflect on a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, and the stories of his adventures will be recounted with fondness and admiration. Graham's legacy is one of love, and a profound ability to see the world with wonder and joy.
The Coe family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the community of Terrace Bay for their unwavering support and companionship throughout Graham's life. His spirit will forever be a part of the place he called home and the people he cherished.
Graham's journey on this earth has come to a rest, but his influence and the memories he created will continue to ride on, like a gentle breeze on a summer's day, forever felt but unseen. Rest in peace Graham, and may your spirit soar free.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay for their amazing care and compassion.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers our family would appreciate the consideration of a donation to McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay, TBRHSC Cancer Centre or take the time to do a simple act of kindness for others.
The Coe Family plan to wait until the grass is green and there are leaves on the trees to have a family celebration.
