It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry - our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and so much more.

Larry was a devoted husband for 48 years, prior to losing the love of his life, Margaret, 12 years ago - to the day! Now they can rest in peace together for eternity.

Larry was born in Sioux Lookout in 1939, moving to Fort William at age six.

Larry and Margaret met in 1960 and married in 1964.

Larry is survived by his daughters Leslie and Beth (Ron), grandchildren Veronica, Bailey and Cassandra, as well as a few grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Larry’s brothers Fred (Carol) and Jim (Doris) also survive as well as many nieces and nephews from both Margaret and Larry’s families.

Back in the day, Larry loved to coach baseball, garden, camp, fish and just enjoy being outdoors. He had a smile every time he reminisced about fishing with Jerry and the boys. There was always some sort of funny story to be told at the end of each adventure.

In recent years, Mark re-introduced Larry to dirt track racing. A few trips across the border to the US, and then Thunder City Speedway opened here. Fun times!!

Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Larry’s Life on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Westfort Prosvita located at 721 West Gore Street from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
