Lionel enjoyed hunting, working in the fresh air, where he inspired a love for the outdoors in all his children.

Lionel is survived by his children, daughter Donna (Allan), son Lionel Jr. (Gayle), son Sam (Bonnie) all of Newfoundland.  Daughter Jackie of Toronto, daughter Betty (Claudio) of Thunder Bay, son Terry (Iris) of Thunder Bay, many grandchildren as well as other relatives of the Dean family.

A private family gathering will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.

If so desired Donations to the Salvation Army can be made in Lionel's name.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
