It is with overwhelming sorrow that the family of Robert (Rob, Robbie) Frost announce his unexpected passing on August 2, 2024 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit with his family by his side.

Robbie was born October 29, 1961 and was a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay and Shuniah. He along with his wife of 34 years Susan, loved living on their property and home at Sunnyside on Lake Superior.

Rob took pride in his Sunnyside landscaping business and Frosty's Snowplowing and possessed an abundance of skills and advice for the DIY locals. His work facility was known as the “Home Hardware” for cottagers in the area. He was the go to person for emergency repairs. Rob had a keen interest in woodworking and had a life long passion for learning. He had an incredible sense of humour and was the ultimate jokester.

Robbie is survived by his wife Susan, and was the much loved sibling of Lillian Esarik, Alexander/Sandy (Karen) Frost, Howard (Jen) Frost, and Lori-Anne (Jonas) Perala in Thunder Bay and Linda (Rob) Rutledge, late Gordon (Lyse) Frost, Lloyd (Jaye) Frost, and Gerald Frost in Sault Ste. Marie. He was the brother-in-law of Paul Strasko (Lisa). He was a special uncle who dearly loved his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was happiest when the family was gathered together.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Bertha Frost, brother in law Bill Esarik, grandparents William and Caroline Gillies, William and Selina Frost and in-laws Paul and Priscilla Strasko.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kyryluk and the staff of Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Emergency Department, the staff of the Intensive Care Unit, especially Dr. Kovacs, as well as the incredible Transplant Team at the London Health Sciences Centre for their efficient, kind, caring, compassionate care of Robert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Italian Hall, 132 South Algoma Street on Monday, August 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with lunch being served at 12 Noon.
