It is with profound sadness that Linda, Marie, and Roger Jr. announce the passing of their beloved father Roger Morin, surrounded with love at Bethammi LTC home in the early hours of July 20, 2023.

Dad leaves to join his wife Nancy (2014) and two small sons Jimmy and Leonard.

Dad was born in Rouyn-Noranda Quebec on Dec. 16, 1927 and came to Thunder Bay (formerly Port Arthur-Fort William) as a young child, where he spent the rest of his life. Dad was a certified plumber, gasfitter, and tinsmith. There is no place in the city and outskirts where he hasn’t left the marks of his expertise. Dad was often called upon for his help and advice, which he gave willingly, on a project. He was seldom wrong.

Dad was well-known for his sense of humour – you could always count on a friendly prank or joke when he was around. He is going to be missed by many.

Per Dad’s wishes there will be no formal services. Burial is private. Flowers are gratefully declined – for those wishing to do so, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Thunder Bay or the Thunder Bay Cancer Clinic. Arrangements entrusted to Sargent & Son Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com

You are free, Dad – fly high!
