KOMOSKI

It is with incredible heartbreak and sadness the world has lost an amazing man. Ron Komoski, 63, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Born on April 1, 1961, in Thunder Bay, Ron spent his life deeply connected to his community and those he loved.

Ron dedicated 26 years of his career to Bowater Mill before continuing his work at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC), where he touched countless lives and made some of the greatest friends and fellow coworkers. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all else, Ron was a devoted family man. He was the most loving husband to Debbie and an incredible father to his children: Greg (Bryanne), Ashley (Tom), Evan (Emily). His greatest joy came from being "Papa" to his cherished grandchildren: Jacob, Brooklyn, Tommy, Krew, Chloe, Benjamin, Jaxton, and Bryce. He also leaves behind his siblings: Lynn; Bill (Connie); Larry (Kerry); Deb (Nadjib); Pat (Richard); Jane; Donna (Rob); and Sue (Stan). His extended family included sisters-in-law Diane (Gigi) and Sharon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Komoski; his parents-in-law, John and Irene Tapak; and brothers-in-law Gary Tapak and Rick Maracle.

A man of many talents and passions, Ron was a true "jack of all trades." He found joy in fishing, camping, NASCAR, hockey, baseball, and curling. However, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his family - especially his beloved grand-babies. He was known for his boundless generosity - always willing to drop everything for someone in need or give the shirt off his back without hesitation.

A Celebration of Life to honour the memory of this extraordinary man was held on March 25, 2025 at the Slovak Legion.

Ron’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
