Mrs. Audrey Eileen Stewart (nee Sitch), age 88 years and a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.

One of our mother's fondest memories was to talk about the time she worked for the Construction Association of Thunder Bay. She loved the job and all the contractors she worked with everyday, and they loved her right back with plenty of gifts at Christmas and a lot of laughs.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jim; children Karen Kingsborough (Jim) and Michele Brown (Bill); grandchildren Jamie Kingsborough of Leduc, Alberta, and Pamela Heffren (Jesse) of Kakabeka Falls, as well as her great-grandchildren Jayden, Jayce, and Jaycob Kingsborough, also from Alberta.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Violet Sitch.

As per Audrey's wishes, a Celebration of Life Reception will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12:30pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Hymers – Riverside Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Audrey to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

The moment that you left me, My heart split in two,
One side filled with memories, The other side died with you.

I often lay awake at night, When the world is fast asleep,
And take a walk down memory lane, With tears upon my cheek.

Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday,
But missing you is a heartache, That never goes away.

I hold you tightly within my heart, And there you will remain,
As my life goes on without you, But will never be the same.

We miss you and love you always and forever.
