Mrs. Esther Edith Puukila (Haataja), age 89 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 in Thunder Bay Pioneer Ridge.
Esther is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George.
She is survived by her four sons, Tom (Cheryl McLeod), Gary, Len (Darlene Mior) and Rick (Tracy Villella). She is also survived by four granddaughters, Amanda, Jackie (Devin Metz), Stephanie and Brittany O'Dwyer (John) and great-grandson, Logan O’Dwyer.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Pioneer Ridge 1st and 4th floors.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
