John A Mastroianni passed away Jan 15th, 2025 at age 79. He was born Nov 22, 1945.
John was a strong businessman. He was well known as owner/operator of multiple A&W restaurants for many years. When he decided to venture out from restaurants, he stayed true to his calling and continued his path in sales (car, carpet, funeral packages, and more). In his later years, he really enjoyed meeting many great people as a taxi driver.
John was an avid golfer and was a member of FWCC for close to 50 years. There, he was happiest laughing and sharing stories with his golf buddies. His other passion was muscle and luxury cars.
John was best known for his story telling, sense of humour and witticism. He shared many fond memories of his childhood, especially working with his parents in their store. According to John, his life didn't start until he met and married the love of his life in 2001, Dr. Helve Hobe. The two of them shared many adventures together.
John lived his life his way and with passion. He didn't believe in conforming to social "rules". He would help anyone in need but also wasn't afraid to tell you how he felt about you.
John was a firm believer true friends make a family and John was grateful for those who were closest to him.
John will be deeply missed by his two favourite girls, his best friend Cindy and his "sister" Sandy. Also missing him is his close golf buddy Gus and his early morning coffee buddy Craig. He will be missed by many other friends and extended family.
John was predeceased by his loving wife Helve, parents Cosmo and Marie and his brother Dominic.
