It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Selkirk Pullan on March 6, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Len was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1945. He arrived in Montreal, Canada in 1967 to work. En route to British Columbia his vehicle broke down in Thunder Bay, where he met and fell in love with his forever companion, Anne. He was a skilled electrician and a proud member of the Kaministiqua United Lodge #415.
Len had a simple retired life where he enjoyed spending time with family at home and at the family cabin. He also enjoyed his Friday coffees with his friends and supporting his football club Partick Thistle. He had a passion for finding and repairing any broken items he could find, even if it was just with duct tape, glue and a prayer. Len was always looking for ways to make everyone laugh and joke around as much as possible.
Len is survived by his daughter Brenna, granddaughter Marquise, wife Anne and family members in Scotland. He was predeceased by his son Leonard Peter Pullan.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at TBRHSC ward 2B and St. Joseph Hospital floor 4N, who took care of him during his illness. We would also like to give thanks to the many friends who provided support in so many ways throughout this time.
In keeping with Len's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held. A celebration of life gathering for friends to share stories will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5, 229 Van Norman St, on Sunday, March 30 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society, to honour his love of animals.
Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street, at Algoma. Please sign the online condolences at everestofthunderbay.com
