It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lori Placken, age 62, on February 3, 2025. Lori was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Gerry Main.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband, Brian; daughters, Amanda (Nate) and Alexis; and her cherished grandchildren, Blake, Callie, and Jack. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother, Greg and her many friends and family.
A dedicated and compassionate carer, Lori had a fulfilling career as an Educational Assistant with the Lakehead Board of Education, where she touched many lives with her kindness and patience.
Lori’s love for the sun was only rivalled by her love for her family. She looked forward to her many summers spent at camp, where she created so many happy memories. Her deep bond with her grandchildren, especially with her grandson Blake, was a testament to the special place they held in her heart.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
Well mom, as always you were right...Too much laughing leads to crying!
A celebration of Lori's life will be held at a later date.
