It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Merilyne Ann Brown, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left us at the age of 85 on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. Merilyne was born on September 16,1939 in Fairlight, Saskatchewan, and was a longtime resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Merilyne is survived by her son, Warren James Brown (Debbie Brown) grandson, Matthew, and her daughter, Lisa Brown.
Throughout her life, Merilyne worked for Revenue Canada, where she was known for her dedication and meticulous nature. Outside of her career, she was an avid lover of the arts and had a deep passion for painting and crafting. Her artistic spirit brought beauty into the lives of those around her, and her creations will remain a lasting legacy of her talent. Merilyne also took pleasure in travelling and exploring new places, which brought her moments of fulfillment.
Merilyne's passing marks the end of an era for those who knew her, and she will be remembered by those closest to her.
A service will be held to celebrate her life and honour her memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
