On this cold and grey November afternoon the sunshine slipped away. After a life of graceful presence for all of us, our Nikki died suddenly at home in the arms of her husband. Nikki faced illness with courage and determination and never lost her delightful laugh and her beautiful smile. She met each challenge with a strength of will and a sense of spirit while always remaining enthusiastic about the possibility of new adventures.

A good day for her was a day spent at camp with her dog Tika at her feet, her cat Luci at her side, and a crochet hook in her hands. She was content with sharing these simple things with David or her mother and any company who happened along. She was generous, creative, and loving and possessed a keen wit and quirky sense of humour. Nikki always said yes when Taylor invited her for a ride on his quad or motorcycle. With an unfailing zest for life, she said yes to travel with David and they shared many trips to warm places with Jamaica being a particular favourite. She and Taylor traveled the world. She was a longtime employee of CIBC until her health made this impossible. She valued her time there and made lasting friendships with co-workers and clients.

Nikki was predeceased by all of her grandparents and three uncles: Lorne Poulin, Paul Poulin, and Wayne Magill.

She is survived by devoted husband David Talbot, son Taylor Magill (Lauren Graham), mother Denise Wallace (Glen), father Vaughn Magill (Barb), brother Scott Magill (Jessica) and much loved nieces Faraday and Henley. Nikki will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention but missing her, each in their own way.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Norwester Hotel. Friends and relatives will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with remembrances starting at 2:00 p.m. The family respectfully requests that any memorial donations be directed to the kidney care team at St. Joseph Health Care in London, Ontario. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
