Mr. Scott Frederick Mason, age 67, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 at Southbridge Roseview with family by his side.

Born on April 29, 1956 to parents Kenneth and Pansy Mason, big brothers Dale and Bruce, as well as twin sister Janis. Scott had a happy childhood growing up with his siblings on Madeline street.

Scott attended Hillcrest high school and afterwards began working at the former Provincial Papers paper mill for over 25 years until its closing. Before his health declined, Scott enjoyed being outdoors including the many fishing and hunting adventures with his family and sons.

Scott is survived by his son Brian (Jacklyn) Mason, granddaughters Harper and Sadie Mason, big brother Dale (Peggy) Mason, sister Janis (Maurice) Cote, as well as an extended family of cousins and nieces.

Scott was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Pansy Mason, step-mother Gladys Mason, brother Bruce (Janice) Mason, and son Stephen Mason.

The family would like to thank the many service providers that helped Scott make it as far as he did, including staff at BISNO, in particular Brian Edwards for all the care, support, and friendship you gave to Scott before his transition to assisted living. The wonderful staff and volunteers at Southbridge Roseview always made sure Scott was comfortable and taken care of over the last number of years. Scott never gave up no matter what the health issue was, and he always seemed to bounce back. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration for family will be held at a later date.
