Mr. Wayne Evans, born July 27/49 passed away at the Regional Hospital on December 20,2022, due to complications from Parkinson's.
Born in Fort William, Wayne attended both Westgate and Churchill schools. He received further education at Confederation College, where he received his Power Engineering Certificate. Shortly after, Wayne began his career with the Lakehead Board of Education as a custodian, eventually he became Head Custodian at Hammarskjold High School. This is where Wayne found his happy place helping the students and student council with their many activities.
Another one of GG's happy places was sitting in a chair in the backyard feeling the sun on his face admiring his luscious, he had the best!!! Carpentry was another forte of Waynes, there are many decks, fences and other buildings that are a testament to his abilities (along with a vast tool collection).
Four years after retirement Wayne was diagnosed with Parkinson's, slowly started to decline. Wayne always liked to say that "everyone has their own journey."
Its now time for GG's final journey.
