Eino Allen Trudeau, a lifelong resident of Ontario, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospice in Thunder Bay with family by his side.  Al was born in the same building, 80 years ago, on March 28, 1944.  He was the third child of Eino and Ruth Trudeau of Kaministiquia.

In 1952, the family moved to Terrace Bay.  After graduating from Terrace Bay High School, Al embarked on a career with Ontario Hydro, working as an Electrical Control Room Operator in various locations across the province. Upon retirement in 1993, he enjoyed traveling Canada in his GetAway van and eventually settled in Thunder Bay where he lived for 30+ years. He truly enjoyed his daily visits to local coffee shops, acquiring a great number of friends who will miss his generosity and his stories. He is survived by his son Jeff, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Alex and Kate; his daughter Lara, son-in-law Pete, grandchildren Josh, Jake (Tori), John, Jacqueline, and great-grandson Colton; his former spouse and friend Liz; his brother Art, sister-in-law CarolAnn; his sister Brenda, brother-in-law Ric; and several nieces and nephews. Also his Aunt Audrey Jackson.

Al was predeceased by his father Eino Joseph Trudeau (1965); his mother Ruth Jackson Trudeau (2006); his sister Marie Trudeau Frederiksen (2021); his nephew Gary Landry (2022); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In keeping with Al's wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be scattered on a hilltop in the Yukon as well as very small flat black urn will be interred alongside his parents and sister in Riverside Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held in August 2025.

In remembrance of Al, buy a ticket to support Thunder Bay Regional Hospital or St Joe's Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Thunder Bay - Hospice Program.
