Mr. Garrett James McKenzie Hubbard, age 22 years of Thunder Bay, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
Garrett was born February 17, 2001 in Thunder Bay. He always had a smile on his face and a true zest for life. If Garrett loved you, he loved you with his whole heart and in return, he was loved by so many. Garrett was passionate about the outdoors. He also enjoyed watching UFC and always had music playing no matter where he was. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends. He is gone so young, but his spirit will live on.
Garrett is survived by his mother Candice Hubbard (Alex) and father Mike Montour; grandparents Kathy McKenzie (Max), Ken McKenzie and Ross Montour; uncles Andrew Hubbard (Gen) and Mark Hubbard (Treena), Auntie Courtney (Rene); brothers Dustin, Joseph and Damon, twin brother Logan, sister Quynh-lee and brothers Jax and Ayden, as well as siblings Donnie, Towedo, Toni and Ebony Montour. He is also survived by his favourite cousin Liz Bell (aka “Mom”) and her children Ricci, Jai, Day-Andra and Jarius, whom he considered his siblings.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Stella Montour, grandfather Oliver Roach and best cousin Austin, whom he considered his brother.
Funeral services for the late Mr. Garrett Hubbard will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James with Rev. Gordon Holroyd officiating. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time.
