Gwendolyn Pacholczak (nee Richardson) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84, at Hogarth Riverview Manor, February 1, 2024. She was born July 31, 1939 in Port Arthur. Gwen worked at Central Park Lodge until her retirement as the Dietary Supervisor.
Gwen had a passion for travel, going on cruises, a trip to Hawaii and saw her favorite singer Elvis perform. But her love for Tom Selleck was a close second and watched all his tv shows. You asked Gwen where to go for lunch it was always Dairy Queen because they had the best Bacon Cheeseburgers in town.
Gwen is survived by her two daughters Audrey of B.C., Ricci of Texas, grandsons Lee, Antoine, Chris and Adam, sister Shirley and many nieces
and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Lyle, parents Clara and Harry Richardson, sisters Joan, Neta, Gaye, Audrey, Joyce and brother Morris.
A special thank you to Janice Turner for her loving care and compassion, taking Gwen into her home until arrangements could be made for Gwen's long term care. To the staff of 5 North Marigold at Hogarth Memorial Manor who were entrusted with Gwen's care over the past six years. Thank you to Dr. Long for keeping me informed of her status.
Cremation has taken place, arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
