Lawrence (Larry) McKeown age 79 passed away peacefully at Southbridge Pinewood Court on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023. Larry was born in Thunder Bay. He became an electrician by trade and worked for Mahon's, Wildon Wiring before starting McKeown Electric. Larry met the love of his life Carol and were married for 58 happy years having 2 children together. As a family they enjoyed many wonderful vacations together and after retiring they both enjoyed travelling to Texas in the winter. Summers were spent enjoying Larry's favourite place camp out at Whitefish Lake. It was always full of family & friends (Whitefish Gang) & lots of laughter. Nothing made him happier than ringing the 4PM Happy Hour Bell where all the Whitefish Gang would gather, have a cocktail and tell stories! Larry is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Cindy (Peter), Son Ed (Tracy), Grandchildren Amanda (Blair), Tyler (Miranda), Great Grandchild TJ, Granddog Molly, Brother Allan (Beth), and Sister-in-law Judy. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd & Helen, Brother Robert. As per Larry's wishes, Cremation has taken place and a private family burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangemetns entrusted to the Blake Funeral Chapel.
